Our Story

At Rustic Roots, our journey began with a simple frustration and a deeper purpose. Like so many candle lovers, we filled our homes with popular store-bought candles, only to find ourselves bothered by the heavy soot, and breathing difficulties, from paraffin & paraffin-based wax blends commonly used in the majority of candles available. We wanted something different. Something cleaner. Something we could feel good about bringing into our home and sharing with our family.

What started as a search for a better candle quickly grew into a passion for creating handcrafted products rooted in quality, sustainability, and intentional living.

Today, every Rustic Roots product is thoughtfully made with carefully selected ingredients and materials. Our candles are crafted using clean-burning waxes and premium fragrance oils that are always:

• Cruelty Free 

We believe beautiful scents should never come at the expense of your home environment or the world around us.

Our love for nature extends far beyond fragrance. From the beginning, we have worked to eliminate as much plastic as possible from our products and packaging. We proudly use reusable glass jars, handcrafted wooden bowls, and recycled pulp packaging for our wax melts and artisan soaps. When plastic cannot be avoided, we ensure it is always BPA free and 100% recyclable.

Even our apparel reflects our values. Our Rustic Roots t-shirts are made from responsibly grown U.S. cotton, and our manufacturing partners maintain WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certification while partnering with the Fair Labor Association (FLA) to support ethical manufacturing, safe working conditions, and fair compensation for workers.
